Materials Editor
You can create unique fabrics for your costumes and the stage floor with the materials editor by combining different fabric properties. A small sample of the material properties included with B. Famous On Stage Magic can be seen below.

Diffuse Property
The diffuse property represents the colors of a fabric. It is the result of seeing light reflected from all points on a fabric's surface.

Emission Property
The emission property determines where a fabric itself seems to emit light.

Normal Property
A normal is like an imaginary arrow perpendicular to a fabric's surface. There are an infinite number of normals spread over the fabric and each normal remains perpendicular to the fabric's surface as the fabric curves. When light strikes the fabric, the normal and position of the light determines the direction of the reflected light. As the amount of reflected light reaching the viewer decreases, the fabric in that area appears darker. The bumpy images below are one way to represent normals in computer graphics.

Specular Property
The specular property is a pattern which causes a light beam to be reflected at the same angle at which the light hits a fabric's surface.
